Source: Waveland Independent newspaper, Waveland, Montgomery County, Indiana, Jan 16, 1920

Frank E. Livengood, who is well known here, was fatally  injured on Sunday night, about 9 o'clock by a Ben Hur car at the  Gegg stop, 5 Mi. E. of Crawfordsville. Mr. Livengood, with his  wife were waiting to come to Crawfordsville. Mr. Livingood (sic)  was standing on the track attempting to signal the car by  striking matches. He miscalculated the nearness of the car, which  struck him, crushing his head and inflicting injuries that  resulted in death at the hospital an hour and a half later. He  never recovered consciousness. Mr. Livengood, was an employee in  the Elston Bank. Mrs. Livengood was formerly Miss Rose Canine, of  this place. She tried to pull her husband off the track and in so  doing had one hand seriously injured. Much sympathy is expressed  for her tragic berevement. Jesse and Robert Burford attended the  funeral on Wednesday. - typed by kbz
